« Long » circuit with a number of rolling sections, but also some steep and sometimes elevated parts. Without a doubt, this route along a ridge in the « middle mountains » is not to be missed, as much for the sporting challenge as for the scenery.
Servoz train station, cross the rail track and go in the direction of Servoz to signpost 185 where the bridge crosses the Arve. Cross over the bridge and descend immediately to the left to join the river bank which is followed by a path through the forest. After 750m, rejoin a road and go over the bridge to the left to find signpost 120. it is worth making the most of the gentle start to have a leg - stretch, because from the beginning of the ascent, the going will be steep. As the route progresses, the footpath narrows and the panorama is revealed, followed by arrival at the panoramic plan at the Prarion. From here a descending traverse begins through an idyllic setting to the Col de Vosaz. Crossing the track of the famous Mont Blanc train, the second ascent begins, to reach the staging post of the Bellevue plateau. The final ascent to Mont Lachat requires care and a particular quality of tenacity to deal with the steep and sometimes slippery slope. On the summit shoulder, there is once again an exceptional 360° panorama, before the route plunges down into the valley. Once again care and precision is necessary right to the end of this final descent, in order to overcome several technical and elevated sections.
