Course over good earth footpaths with very varied slopes and not very technical. Ideal for a short trip, to practise adapting one's rhythm to the slope and running over certain sections.

Departing from the centre of Argentie?re, just in front of the station take the chemin des Velors, just to the right of the public dustbins (moloks). Join the river bank of the Arve and run up it 200m to cross at the bridge. Pass in front of the church and after 50m continue along the road via the chemin de la Moraine. After 500m, go under the railway and you will see signpost 55. Join the Petit Balcon Nord. At first the path leads up a series of steep zigzags to the plateau of Le Planet. In the forest, sparsely wooded with larch, the path continues its way haphazardly along the valley to reach the village of Le Tour. Having traversed this peaceful village at the head of the Chamonix valley, the route crosses fields to the other, south-facing, side. Facing the Mont Blanc massif, the route then continues on towards Tre?-le- Champs, another peaceful hamlet. The descent follows a good track to finish in Argentie?re.
